New Delhi: The protesting farmers wouldn’t cancel their January 26 work vehicle rally today, and said the test against them by the National Investigation Agency is intended to break their colossal protest. The farmers have arranged an extraordinary meeting on Republic Day to enlist protest in the public capital – a move the public authority is contradicting lawfully. The Supreme Court will hear the issue tomorrow.
Today, as the NIA gathered 40 individuals – Including farmer pioneer Baldev Singh Sirsa – for addressing a situation identified with the restricted outfit Sikhs For Justice, the farmers affirmed that the public authority has turned to “monstrosities”.
“Move is being made against the individuals who collaborate in the development,” claimed a farmer chief. “We denounce the move the NIA is making, we will battle against it legitimately, not just in the court. The public authority’s mentality is severe,” he added.
Shiromani Akali Dal pioneer and previous Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal tweeted: Strongly sentence Center’s endeavours to scare farmer pioneers and allies of #KisanAndolan calling them for addressing by #NIA and ED. They aren’t enemies of nationals. What’s more, after the disappointment of talks for the ninth time, it’s evident that GOI merely is attempting to wear out farmers.
The public authority has moved the farmers’ arrangements to hold the Republic Day convention in the Supreme Court, saying it will be a “humiliation to the country”.
