CM Mamata Banerjee Rolls Out Affordable Food Scheme. Value Per Plate Is...

Kolkata: On the paths of Karnataka’s Indira Canteen also Tamil Nadu’s Amma Canteen, CM Mamata Banerjee has dispatched ‘Maa Kitchens’ survey bound West Bengal, which will give nutritious food at an exceptionally sponsored cost. After the BJP excused the plan – under which a plate brimming with rice, dal, cooked vegetables, and an egg will be offered at just ₹ 5 – as a political decision stunt, the decision Trinamool Congress called attention to that PM Narendra Modi had as of late dispatched a few framework projects for the state, only months in front of the gathering races.

At the dispatch occasion at the state secretariat – Nabanna, Ms Banerjee said, “This is the Maa Kitchen. We are pleased with our Maa (mother). Any place there is Maa, things will be acceptable. We salute all moms.”

This is Ms Banerjee’s third expensive plan for the poor after the lead Duarey Sarkar (taxpayer driven organizations at doorstep) and Swasthya Sathi (health care coverage). The scheme, what began today in Kolkata, will be extended across the state.

NDTV conversed with a portion of the recipients, who trust that the plan proceeds for the whole year.

“I leave for work in the first part of the day. It’s our best of luck in the event that we get food at ₹ 5,” a man who came to test the food said.

“On the off chance that I need to eat vegetables and rice, it costs ₹ 25. It’s mind boggling we are getting a feast at ₹ 5. In the event that we get it the entire year, it will be awesome,” said another recipient.

“How will the poor respond? In the event that we eat one feast at ₹ 5 it will be an extraordinary help for us,” added another recipient.

The BJP assaulted the public authority over the declaration. “Individuals of Bengal don’t have cash to purchase food to eat. That is the reason she needs to run Maa Canteen so that individuals get food at ₹ 5. She has demonstrated she has fizzled. Individuals have become bums and she needs to take care of individuals at ₹ 5,” BJP’s Bengal boss, Dilip Ghosh said.

The TCM hit back, saying the BJP recollects Bengal just during races.

“For what reason is the PM visiting so often before the decisions? He has been here to introduce projects. They are bringing up superfluous issues which have no importance. This is no Chunawi Thali (political decision thali). Kanyashree, Rupashree, Swasthya Sathi are on the whole functioning admirably,” West Bengal’s Urban Development Minister, Firhad Hakim, said.

Likewise, the CM introduced a few different tasks, including an I-T park, to attract speculation to the state.

Races are expected in the state in April-May this year. The Election Commission will probably declare the dates for the surveys before the current month’s over.

No task or plan can be dispatched after the Election Commission’s Model Code Of Conduct kicks in.
