It would have been “an easy decision” to fire on the approaching Chinese tanks, Joshi said adding: ” That was the time war was deflected. We were totally on edge, we were totally on the verge” of war,” he said.
India and China battled their lone battle in 1962. There have been numerous encounters and a few conflicts from that point forward with the Galwan war seen as the first with losses since 1975.
When getting some information about the quantity of setbacks on the Chinese side at Galwan, Joshi said: “I would prefer not to make a gauge” but added that the Indian Army had seen Chinese soldiers shipping more than 60 of their men on cots. He anyway explained that he was unable to say whether they were harmed or dead Chinese faculty.
A week ago, the Russian news organization TASS had detailed that the Chinese had endured 45 setbacks in India’s Galwan conflict. China has not formally put out any quantities of their dead.
